Teen Accused Of Making Threat Against Bayonne High School

A Jersey City resident was arrested in connection with an online threat made against Bayonne High School Tuesday, police said.

Deandre Jefferson, 18, was arrested at his McAdoo Avenue home around 11:20 p.m., as law enforcement was still investigating a shootout in Jersey City Tuesday afternoon that left six people dead, including two suspects and a police officer, Detective Joseph Seals. Seals was raised in Bayonne. 

The threat, posted online around 5:45 p.m., specifically referenced the shootings in Jersey City. The threat was not credible, police also said. 

Jefferson has been charged with false public alarm, false reports to law enforcement and terroristic threats.
